This week, I had a very special shoot. Meet Hannah, the very first CDP senior! I had the pleasure of shooting her senior portraits on Wednesday & she nailed it. Hannah chose Brushy Creek Lake Park as her location for a more natural setting & after having to rescheduling her first appointment due to thunderstorms (always a bummer) we arrived on her shoot date to discover fields of wildflowers! What a lovely surprise.
After creating our game plan during our portrait planning session 2 weeks ago, Hannah arrived early & prepared to celebrate this exciting time in her life. When I asked her what she wants to remember about this time in her life Hannah said,
how fun it was. That it was a time to try new things. A time to grow.”
Not only did Hannah letter in swimming (seriously she brought so many medals to the shoot we had to limit it to 5 favorites for posing) but she also enjoys indie music, calligraphy & reading English literature.
Inspired by one of her neuroscience classes (yea, science!), this bright young woman will study psychology with an emphasis on addiction at the University of Mary. I know; could she be any more impressive?
Big shout out to her mom, Susan, for keeping Cooper & Daisy entertained during the shoot.
This is someone not present in your images who can 1) stand behind me & get your dogs attention to make it look like they’re looking at the camera. And trust me this is hard when you’re outside & there is so much excitement. Like when, and this happened during Hannah’s shoot, someone brings half a dozen ducks to the park. What? Thank goodness for Hannah’s mom!
2) The dog helper can help play with your pups when they’re not in the shoot. It’s just too much time to sit still by themselves when they’re not in front of the camera. Investing in a helper is investing in your final portraits. You’ll be glad you did.
The college acceptance letter arrived, prom is over, finals are around the corner & then you’ll graduate. Time is flying by. Have fun, Hannah. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. God bless your & your family & all the best at UMary.
Until Next Time,
P. S. I’ve fallen in love with senior portraits with my first session! Thank you Hannah for leading the way.
